NewVeria was founded by a Family Nurse Practitioner who has been practicing since 2019, with clinical experience in medical weight management.

To deepen this expertise, I completed the Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity Medicine through the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA), reflecting my commitment to expanding my knowledge of evidence-based obesity treatment.

I believe patients deserve care that combines clinical judgment with empathy, clear communication, and an understanding of the challenges that can accompany weight management.

I also recognize that feeling understood is an important part of receiving good care. I provide care fluently in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, allowing me to communicate directly with patients in the language they feel most comfortable using. My goal is to help patients feel heard, informed, and confident in their treatment decisions.

My goal in establishing NewVeria was to create a practice where patients can access medically guided treatment with continuity, thoughtful follow-up, and an emphasis on their overall health — not just a prescription or a number on the scale.
